Come in from the cold and feel the inner warmth of the dance community as we dance around the seasons. Dance the fertility cycle of the earth, and personal cycles of beginning, expansions, transitions and fulfillments. (Dances choreographed by June Watts and other dancers)
We would like to invite you to join us for a special day at Neskaya on Saturday, February 8, 2020. In May of 2019, some of us were privileged to dance with June Watts and learn some of her dances plus additional dances by other choreographers and share in the special community that she helped us create. We want to keep the spirit and the dances alive in our hearts and bodies.
We will get together to review and teach some of the wonderful dances we learned. We hope that you can join us. You are welcome to come Friday night to be ready for Saturday’s dancing and stay for Sunday’s 3:30 circle dance at Neskaya. Sunday morning is open for seeing the beautiful White Mountains for winter activities or informal dancing. Attendance is by donation.
Details: Dancing will start at 10 am Saturday morning and continue through the evening. Come for the entire time or for whatever time you have. Bring food for yourself or to share in spontaneous potlucks for lunch and dinner. Neskaya has two shower rooms available to all overnight guests. Dormitory style accommodations that include bedding and towels are available for a suggested donation of $25 a night. Beds are limited, so please email Kayla Dauphine at [email protected] early to reserve a bed. You may also bring your own bedding and towels to camp out on the dance floor. A suggested donation of $5 a night would be much appreciated.
Please mark your calendars and if you are interested in coming, send your RSVP to Daisy McCoy at [email protected] as soon as possible.
We will keep you informed of any changes due to weather conditions as we come close to the day of February 8, 2020.
