Solar Eclipse Event
April 6-8, 2024

Neskaya is very close to the “Path of Totality” for a total Eclipse of the Sun on Monday April 8 as the Moon passes in front of the Sun, completely blocking its light. The last time New Hampshire was in the direct path of a Solar Eclipse was 1959, and the next won’t be until 2079.  Join dancing and special activities the weekend before and then travel to VT (optional) to view the total eclipse on the afternoon of the 8th.

Saturday 4/6
Informal shared circle dancing starting at 1 pm.
Sunday 4/7
10:30 am Zoom presentation by Jenny Deupree giving an astrological explanation of the eclipse.
3:30 – 5:30 pm Circle Dance session taught by Kayla Dauphine
Monday 4/8
Morning – Informal, shared circle dancing
Afternoon – Eclipse viewing**

** You may view the Eclipse at Neskaya or travel to Daisy McCoy’s house in Lyndonville, VT to view the eclipse in its totality. She has room for 5 cars. Car pooling is encouraged. Anyone wishing to travel to Daisy’s home needs to make arrangements directly with Daisy. You may contact her at [email protected].

Meals: All meals will be potluck or if you have special food needs, bring food for yourself.

A bed upstairs that includes bedding and towels. Sliding Scale $25 – $50 a night. (Please email Kayla at [email protected] to reserve. Beds are limited.)
Dance floor (bring your own bedding) $10 a night
Tenting (bring your own camping equipment) $10 a night
Note: Payment for overnight sleeping to be made at time of event and is separate from the event donation.
